Approved 2021 Water Year Charges (In Effect through March 1, 2022)

On December 8, 2020 meeting, following a detailed review of various 2021 Water Year Budget scenarios, the Arvin-Edison Water Storage District Board of Directors, fixed the 2021 Water Year (WY) Surface Water Service Area “Standby” charges and “Water Use” charges to be the same as those proposed and explained in the November 30, 2020 landowner letter for both an average and dry year scenario as follows.

Summary of 2021 Charges

Average Year Charges - (unrestricted water allocation)

The average year scenario “Standby” charges and “Water Use” charges will be in effect if the District does not have to restrict water use during the 2021 WY. The 2021 charges are as follows:

Average Year Charges - (unrestricted water allocation)
DescriptionCharge
Standby Charge ($/AC):
Water Use Charges:
$100.00 (Water Use charge to be credited)
Water ($/AF)$115.00
First Energy Lift ($/AF)$47.00
Energy Lift(s) 2-6 ($/AF/lift)$17.00

Dry Year Charges - (restricted water allocation, prorate period in effect)

Should WY 2021 require a restricted water allocation similar to the 2014-2016 WY’s, the District will implement a multi-month prorate period. The “Water Use” charges will remain the same as the Average Year charges; however, the $100/AC “Standby” charge will be replaced with a non-refundable Prorate Period “Standby” charge. The amount of the “Standby” charge will vary depending on the prorate allocation.
