Approved 2023 Water Year Charges (In Effect through March 1, 2023)

The Arvin-Edison Water Storage District Board of Directors, at their December 13, 2022 meeting, following a detailed review of the 2023 Water Year Budget, fixed 2023 Water Year (WY) Surface Water Service Area “Standby” charges and “Water Use” charges. The “Standby Charge ($/AC) Drought Year charge was approved by the Board that was previously identified in the preliminary water charge letter dated November 18, 2022 as “TBD.”

Summary of 2023 Charges

Average Year Charges - (unrestricted water allocation)

The average year scenario “Standby” charges and “Water Use” charges will be in effect if the District does not have to restrict water use during the 2023 WY. The 2023 charges are as follows:

Dry Year Charges - (restricted water allocation, prorate period in effect)

Should WY 2023 require a restricted water allocation similar to the 2014-2016 WY’s, the District will implement a multi-month prorate period. The “Water Use” charges will remain the same as the Average Year charges; however, the $100/AC “Standby” charge will be replaced with a non-refundable Prorate Period “Standby” charge. The amount of the “Standby” charge will vary depending on the prorate allocation.
